How to join FAIRshare
Everyone who lives, works or studies in Shropshire or the Borough of Telford, or works for a Shropshire or Telford based company, can join FAIRshare. Be part of our success & join FAIRshare Credit Union online or in branch today.
Joining FAIRshare will give you a secure home for your savings and access to low cost affordable loans. Your money will stay in the local economy and benefit others in Shropshire, and any surplus will be returned to the members in the form of a dividend on savings.
Are you joining to apply for a loan?
For loans up to £1500, apply for a Handi-Loan and see if your loan application is approved before joining FAIRshare by clicking here.
If approved, you can then join FAIRshare before the loan funds are released.
For larger loan amounts up to £7500, you must join FAIRshare first.
To join online today, click here, and complete our online membership application form. You will need a debit or credit card to pay the one-off membership fee (£5) & your first saving deposit (£1 minimum) .
We are required by law to confirm the identity and address of all new applications for membership, and will do this electronically. If the electronic verification fails, we will contact you and ask you to provide additional documentation.
We will process your membership application within 24 hours of you submitting it. Any applications received over the weekend or on public holidays will be processed on the following working day.
Please note – You must be over 18 years to join online, due to the electronic ID verification process.
There is a one off non-refundable £5 membership fee, payable when joining FAIRshare. You must also deposit £1 into your account, which is your first “share” in your ‘Share Account’ – a savings account like an instant access saving account.
There are no charges for paying in, withdrawing, transferring money or running your account*.
*A small monthly fee applies for the Engage VISA Debit Card
