How to join FAIRshare…

Everyone who lives, works or studies in Shropshire, the Borough of Telford & Wrekin, South Staffordshire and the Wyre Forest, can join FAIRshare Credit Union. Don’t work or live in these areas? Find Your Credit Union here.

It is regulated like any other bank or financial institution.

FAIRshare provides straightforward saving accounts, manageable loans, and trusted money management. We are not-for-profit and when you save with us, you enable others in the community to access safe money management.

Please note – You must be over 18 years to join online, due to the electronic ID verification process.

We also have a Younger Saver account for members from birth to under 16 years of age – a great way to teach children to save and manage money.

Join in Branch

You can also join FAIRshare at our Telford branch, Unit 3, Southwater Square, Southwater Way, Telford, TF3 4JG. You can download and complete the membership application form and take it with you to the branch.

We are required by law to receive two recent and original forms of identification to confirm both identity and address.

Please bring along one item from each list to join FAIRshare:
  • Valid signed passport
  • Valid UK/EU photo driving licence or full UK (old style) driving licence
  • Confirmation of state or local authority benefit entitlement (issued in the last 12 months)
  • HMRC Tax notification letter (issued in the last 12 months)
    List Two – Proof of Address – MUST be dated within the last 3 months:
  • Utility bill • Tenancy Agreement
  • Confirmation of state or local authority benefit entitlement • HMRC Tax notification letter
  • Valid photo driving licence • Local Authority Council Tax Bill
  • Bank, Credit Card or Mortgage statement (posted to your address & NOT printed from the internet)
