
IMPACT OF CORONAVIRUS NATIONAL LOCKDOWN ON FAIRSHARE MEMBER SERVICES

Considering the ongoing effects of COVID-19, we would like to reassure all our Members that for FAIRshare Credit Union it is currently business as usual.
Our Telford branch and information points will close to the public and members from Tuesday 05/01/2021 until further notice. This will be reviewed in line with Government advice.
Be assured that our team at FAIRshare can work from home and will be delivering our services to all Members via phone, email and secure messages.

To support this, we are now asking all members that have not signed up for our Online Members Access (FAIRshare’s online banking platform) to do so, as soon as possible. Online members assess enables our members to check balances, withdraw savings and send secure messages.
For members that regularly use our Telford branch to make cash withdrawals
To be able to withdraw money you will need to add details of a bank account (held in your name) to your FAIRshare account. To do this please call our Member Services Team on (01952) 200200 during office hours.
If you have already notified FAIRshare of your bank account details, please ensure that you have set up and activated your online member’s access. To set up this free service, please call our Member Services Team on (01952) 200200 during office hours.
By adding a bank account to your FAIRshare account, you will be able to use Online Members Access or call Member Services to make a withdrawal. The amount requested will be sent by Faster Payment to the bank account details set up on your FAIRshare account.
Members wishing to deposit savings
You will still be able to save with FAIRshare by setting up a Standing Order from your bank account to FAIRshare. For information on how to set up a Standing Order please see our website or speak to us.
By ensuring that you have set up your online members access and have provided us with bank account details, for an account held in your own name, because FAIRshare is required to close its customer-facing branches, we will be able to continue providing services to all our members.
Members with outstanding loans
We fully understand the potential impact that COVID-19 could have on the ability of some members to continue to meet their FAIRshare loan commitments. If this becomes the case, we ask that you contact us as soon as you realise you may have difficulty maintaining repayments. Where possible, we will then seek to find a solution for genuine cases of hardship caused by COVID-19.
Members without loans suffering financial hardship
In these unprecedented times, FAIRshare may be able to offer support to our members through a period of disruption to regular income (from whatever source). If you would like to talk to someone about possible loan options, please contact our Member Services Team on (01952) 200200.
