Weston Rhyn School Saver Club

Weston Rhyn Primary School launched their School Saver Club in March 2017 in partnership with FAIRshare & supported by the Three Parishes Big Local.  The Club helps young people get into the ‘saving habit’ in a friendly environment and to learn money management skills.

The School Saver Club is open to all children attending Weston Rhyn Primary School.  Membership is free, and children can deposit as little or as much as they wish – from a few pennies to pounds.  Collections are held weekly before school from 8.30am on a Thursday morning in the school hall.

The Club is run by a team of young volunteer officers from years 5 & 6, under the supervision of Mrs Slawson and volunteer Saver Club Co-Ordinator, Sarah Fairclough.  FAIRshare provide training and ongoing support.  Since its launch in 2017, 20 children have volunteered as officers and run the Weston Rhyn School Saver Club.  The Officers run the Club in a professional, efficient and friendly manner and are a credit to their school and the wider community.

Watch our Savings grow!

Each year we have a fantastic Saver Chart designed by our Officers.  Every time a member saves, they add a ‘sticker’ to the chart.  The 2018/19 Saver Chart is a giant Treasure Chest which we’ll fill with gold coins, rings, bracelets and other treasure!  Hopefully by July 2019 it will look as brilliant as the Saver Cake (2017) and the Fish Tank (2017/18) from previous years!  The Saver Chart is on display in the School Hall for everyone to watch our savings grow!

The School Saver Club is open to all children attending Weston Rhyn Primary School.  To join please complete an application form and return it to Weston Rhyn Primary School – application forms are available from school or can be downloaded from the link below.  There is no cost to join and pupils can join the School Saver Club at any time.
